Connections Project

Help run local events at a hospital near you!

Students Advocates in a chapter are eligible to get community service hours for their work.

Background

In recognition of the unique challenges faced by patients affected by rare diseases as well as their families, we introduce the "Connections Project". With the help of our partnerships, hospitals, chapters, and donation funds we run fun events at hospitals to boost morale and support for patients.

What Is It ?

01.

Funds

02.

SARD Chapters

03.

Patients

04.

Volunteer support

Donation funds provide us with financial ability to buy supplies for events. This may include arts and crafts, or even the money to hire a third-party to come to the hospital.

Our chapters are in charge of the events at hospitals near them. They plan everything from start to finish.

Other SARD volunteers that live nearby can come and help at the hospital event.

SARD chapter volunteers go to the hospital to ask the patients what type of event they would like to experience.

CONNECTIONS PROJECT CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE IN ANTICIPATION FOR LEADERSHIP ELECTIONS. CHECK BACK SOON THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
